As a new player to NukeZone the challenge of building up your province into a massive pillar of destruction and terror can seem quite the daunting task over the first few days and weeks. This guide is designed to show you the basics of building up your province and as you learn more, it can be adapted to fit any style of playing NukeZone including: Points Play, Networth Play, Combo Play or just to harass and attack other provinces.
In NukeZone there are several ways to officially compete. There are medals, which are awarded to individual provinces, and clan awards for clans. However, first you will need a solid base of experience before you try to tackle any of those. We will however set you on the fast track towards getting the experience you need to reach any goal you set in NukeZone. Everything needed to build, buy, research, attack etc. can be found with a link on the left side of your NukeZone game page. When you first start you are in Nuke Protection. This will protect you from other players' attacks for 48 hours while you build up your defences and your offensive power. To be fair you also can not attack other players while inside Nuke Protection. Take time to read this tutorial, visit the forums, and meet some other players! To stay alive, remember Buildings = Life. Try to build up and maintain your buildings all the time. Lose your last building and you will be dead for 6 hours (no matter how many units you have). When you die, your units and research are reset, and you gain the starting money and turns again. After that you can restart again in Nuke Protection (NP), but this time you will be able to remove it after 18 hours if you wish, but be careful when you remove NP and make sure you have enough buildings to stay alive just in case you are attacked right away.
2. Essentials
Resources:
Turns - Are the mainstay and arguably the most important aspect in NukeZone especially since it is a turn based game. You receive a turn every 20 minutes and they are used for most things in game play including: Attacking, Building, Research, Buying your units (you can also use the market for this action), Exploring for Land, Thieving, Spying etc.
Morale - Is used for attacking and is added to your province at a rate of 5% every 15 minutes. Morale ranges from 0-100% and uses from 20-35% per attack depending on if your opponent is larger or smaller and what type of attack is being used. Generally the maximum you may have is 100% (with exceptions explained in the manual).
Money - Your default is $10,000 per hour. With level 1 and level 2 research (see research section) you can improve your income to $20,000 and $30,000 per hour respectively.

3. Buildings
As stated in the opening, buildings are essential to stay alive, without them you are dead.
Units are stored inside buildings we call unit housings, Shipyards for Sea Units, Airfields for Air Units, War Factories for Vehicles and Barracks for Infantry. Your unit housings will probably be your second most abundant building after Power Plants.
Special Units such as Spy Planes, Thieves, Spies, and Snipers also require you to build Command Centers to help house them. Missiles require Missile Silos to order, house, and launch them, as well.
There are 2 kinds of power plants, Advanced Power Plants (APP), and Power Plants (PP).
When your power goes offline your defence buildings will not work, and all your buildings life drops by 25%, as well you can't spy or research and some other of your other functions will be disabled, however you can still attack other provinces.
Power Plants are the cheapest building. They also keep you alive by taking a large amount of the attack force against you and are easy to replace.
Advanced Power Plants cost more, provide a lot more power, but have less than half the defence of (Normal) Power Plants.
4. Research
When you first start playing NukeZone the best strategy for having fun, staying alive and getting off to a good start is to research Money Production and Engineering Effectiveness. Money Production will increase the amount of money you receive and Engineering Effectiveness will allow you to build more buildings for every turn you use, remember you receive 1 turn every 20 minutes so conserving your turns is very important.
Researching each level will cost you 25 turns and depending on your strategy and what you plan on doing, is well worth it. The number of Research Labs you own will help decrease the amount of time it takes to complete each research level. Your time to research is shortened with every 50 Research Labs you own. 50, 100, 150 and 200. 200 is the maximum you require but build a couple of extra in-case you are attacked because if you drop below, even by 1 you will now be classified as having the next level down which in this case would be 150 and your time to research will increase.
There are numerous other research options you may choose depending on the style and strategy you decide to play including: Bank Management, Market Discount, Market Shipping Time, Missile Accuracy, Power Plant Efficiency, Satellite Technology and Thief Education.
5. Surviving
As stated in the opening, buildings are essential to stay alive, always remember that Buildings=Life. Try to build up and maintain your buildings all the time. Lose your last building and you will be dead for 6 hours (no matter how many units you have).
When you first start playing you are in Nuke Protection! This will protect you from other players' attacks for 48 hours while you build up your offensive and defensive power (you will not be able to attack anyone either while in this stage).
Defence Buildings are a great way to survive; not only do they defend but they have lots of life. For each of the four unit types there is a defence building. Torpedo Launchers defend against Sea units, SAM Sites are used to defend against Aircraft, Missile Turrets defend against Vehicles and Machine Gun Turrets defend against Infantry.
Always make sure you have enough power. When you have low power, your defense buildings will not work and therefore they will die much quicker.
6. Units
There are 4 different categories of units in NukeZone: Sea, Air, Vehicles, and Infantry. It might look like fun to test them all out at once, but we suggest you stick with one category as this will give you a stronger army and to allow you to inflict the maximum amount of damage. If you choose from two or more categories of units then you will fight your enemies' defences on two or more sides and suffer a lot more damage. The more concentrated your offence, the less the enemy can defend against you. We also suggest you use no more than 2 or 3 different units in the category you choose (using 1 gives you optimum striking power). Using 2 units to give you a combination is a great way to start out when playing NukeZone ie if you wanted to choose Air and wanted to try a 2 unit combo then F-22 Raptor (attacks Sea and Air) and RAH-66 Comanche (attacks Vehicles, Infantry and Buildings) would be perfect because with that combo you can attack everything.
In your choice of units there are 2 pure BK's (Building Killers), the BS (Battleship) and the PT (Paratrooper). These units do not score you as many points if you are in a clan war but they do more damage to the other player's buildings.
As stated early, turns are very valuable for game play so you have an option to purchase your units on the Market. If you purchase units on the market they will cost you a lot more money and take up to 12 hours to be delivered but this option allows you to conserve those valuable turns.
You can lower the cost of units on the market and speed up the delivery time by researching "Market Discount" and/or "Market Shipping Time".
7. Attacking
No matter how difficult or strategic NukeZone might appear, it all comes down to one thing at the end: attacking your enemies!
There are several ways to attack an enemy. First you have Regular Attack, Ground Attack and Air and Sea Attack. Then you have the powerful but also expensive attacks called Launch Missile and Satellites.
Each attack uses a different amount of turns and morale (satellites and missiles do not use morale, but they use satellite and missile power). Your morale increases by 20 per hour and can not be improved past the maximum of 100%.
Morale ranges from 0-100% and uses from 20-35% per attack depending on if your opponent is larger or smaller and what type of attack is being used. These types of attacks are Normal and Aggressive attacks. Aggressive attacks use more morale then normal attacks, do more damage, and yield more land taken, typically resulting in more points gained in a war, but use the same number of turns.
You cannot attack everyone whenever you want to. You are only able to attack people within your attack range. It is very easy to calculate your own range, you simply multiply and divide your current networth with 40%. The same range counts for declaring wars between clans but now you multiply and divide your total clan networth with 40%.
8. Clans
In NukeZone there are many different clans of all shapes and sizes with different styles and goals. We suggest you join a clan to get the most out of NukeZone. You can look for a clan to join with our Clan Recruiting System or use the Recruiting Forum.
Not being a member of a clan is allowed, but you won't benefit from a clans protection and guidance.
The first step for getting into a clan that you think would be fun to play with, is to take a look around at some of the clans. Some good places to start looking are the Top 100 Lists for Networth, Points, and Combo, and also the All Clans list which shows all the clans in NukeZone in alphabetical categories.
While looking at the clans there are a few things you should take note of:
Does the clan have room for more members? (15 members is the maximum).
Has the clan selected "Yes" or "No" next to "Recruiting"?
Are there any specifications listed in their Clan Information about recruiting?
After checking these 3 things you might now consider sending a PM to the Clan leader.
We also have a limited amount of NukeZone Training Clans that you can join and learn to play with the experts, they are experienced and helpful members of the community. There is limited space so once you login to NukeZone you have to go to the go to the NukeZone Recruiting Forum and state that you are looking for a Training Clan to join.
